Life After Lockdown

For the Riley family of Charlton, the glorious autumn weather last Sunday and the loosening of CCOVID-19 restrictions provided the perfect opportunity to be out and about as the family caught up with Dad (Brad Riley) during cropping.
Pictured at Teddywaddy the children – Dash (8), Archer (6), Willow (4) and Arie (2) – spent time running around in the sun and exploring for all the exciting things which digging in dirt can offer.
While Dash has spent some time on the tractor with Brad, and was keen to point out different things about the machinery, his sisters Willow and Arie, were happy to pose for pictures, while Archer was more camera-shy.
Mum, Mel said the boys were looking forward to returning to school next week at St. Joseph’s Primary in Charlton, to catch up with their friends.

As Prep and Grade 2 students, their home schooling had been book-focused, with only short Zoom sessions scheduled each day with their teacher, Melissa Drum.
Keeping their attention on schoolwork, while juggling the needs of the two younger children, had been a challenge, Mel said, but they were looking forward to some “girl” time when the boys headed back to school.
And while it wasn’t quite a full-on picnic at the farm, there was some morning tea for Dad and the sharing of biscuits while machinery was checked and fuel tanks filled.
People in Charlton also made the most of the re-instated freedom, with family groups taking a stroll and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
