Ray Neville and Rimfire’s Melbourne Cup victory is now immortalised through Kyle Tormey’s impressive murals, perfectly capturing the historical moment from 1948. The left hand silo depicts the the famous race. The middle silo shows a baby-faced Ray Neville’s excited, proud and cheeky grin, next to the image of him on Rimfire riding back to scale after their triumph win. The third and final silo shows the Governor General of Australia, Sir William McKell, shaking Ray’s hand, congratulating his big win, and Rimfire’s breeder and owner H.G. Raymond is holding the winning owners trophy cup.
