If there was any doubt in the minds of community members as to whether their little local shows were still viable, one only had to attend Donald’s 140th. P. & A. Society Show on October 7 and 8.

The volunteers were also promoting the GoodSAM Responder app, which is a free, global, smartphone app that alerts registered Responders when someone nearby is in cardiac arrest. Ambulance Victoria introduced the GOODSam app in Victoria in 2018, initially piloted by health professionals and first-aid trained colleages from partner organisations. The program has been expanded to include a diverse community of registered Responders, who are willing and able to provide CPR, and are familiar with the use of an AED.
