Wycheproof Shopping Night Set to Go

With restrictions easing, and Christmas just around the corner, Wycheproof Community Resource Centre is delighted to announce that the 2020 Roving Shopping Night will be going ahead. 

Pre-registrations are now open for the event on Friday, December 4. 

With a more flexible format this year, including an earlier start at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. finish, locals can enjoy the fun and festivity of the popular event in a way that is Covid safe. 

Participating shops will once again be offering exclusive one-night-only shopping deals and discounts, and each registered shopper will go into the draw for some fantastic prizes, including the main prize of over $200 worth of local vouchers.

Changes
A summary of the main changes to the 2020 Roving Shopping Night include:  

• Pre-register with WCRC in person, or via phone.
• On the day, check in at WCRC and collect goody bag anytime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Shop ’til you drop! Individuals and small groups encouraged to move around at their own leisure whilst observing social distancing and patronage limits at each shop

Head home whenever you’re finished and/or option to gather at the Royal Mail Hotel at 8 p.m. for the drawing of the prizes 

WCRC manager Sandy Pollington said it was exciting to be able to go ahead with the popular annual event after such an uncertain year.

“While it will look a little different to previous years, we expect it will be just as enjoyable for shoppers and our local traders alike,” she said.

“This event is all about supporting the local businesses community, and we hope people understand that we have had to make some tweaks to how it will run this year.

“At the end of the day, you’ve made a start on your Christmas shopping, supported local business and enjoyed a fun night out — it’s a win-win.”

Event registration event is just $20, and includes a goody bag containing a snack and a drink ticket, along with a list of all the participating shops and their one-night-only specials.
