“Wrath of Man” Packs the Action

If action movies hold appeal, this weekend’s Rex picture will be for you!

Actor Jason Stratham stars as “H” — a mysterious and wild-eyed new security guard with a cash truck company in Los Angeles, who surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. 

The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

Based on the 2004 French film, “Cash Truck” by Nicolas Boukhrief, this action / thriller offers multiple twists and thrilling shoot-outs in a gritty revenge story.

Reuniting for the first time since 2005, director Guy Ritchie and Stratham use the biblical sounding title to reference a father striking back against those who harmed his family, and along with an emotive, dark score, the mood builds as the adrenaline flows.  

Revealed through a series of flashbacks, this movie is deserving of the big screen treatment, with anger and action keeping the “entertainment” quota high.

Highly recommended for an escapist session at the flicks!
