“Staged” On Corack Stage

This Sunday will be a matinee performance of the play “Staged!” shown for the very first time ever at the Corack Public Hall. 

Starting with just an idea, members of the Performing Arts Project have been working hard at bringing this story to life and it combines both adult and underage performers in the same play – some for their very first time ever!

There are limited opportunities in our region for anyone, young or old, to be involved with theatre and this play gives all performers a chance to act in a role on-stage in front of an audience. 

And though they might be only amateur actors, their dedication could rival the professionals, committing to numerous rehearsals each week in the lead-up to the event to make sure they perform to the very best of their ability.

Sunday’s opening matinee at 1 p.m. will be preceded by a $2 sausage sizzle prior to the play being shown, which has an approximate running time of 35 – 40 minutes, meaning you will be home in time to get the kids settled on a school night. 

On Saturday, August 17, there will be a second performance in the evening at 7 p.m. followed by a shared supper, so please bring a plate!

Come along and support this dedicated little group of performers, stepping out of their comfort zone and giving it a go to put on a quality show for the community.
