What an unforgettable week it has been at the “Buloke Times”, as the extraordinary milestone was reached – 150 years of publication!
It’s been a week filled with excitement, cake, confetti, and hearty congratulations from so many, all of whom have helped to celebrate this remarkable achievement. The support from our wonderful community, with visits, thoughtful gifts, and warm well-wishes extended, has truly touched us all.
But the celebrations are far from over! The excitement is stretching beyond these office walls and will continue this Sunday with the airing of a special feature on ABC’s Landline. Journalists Tim Lee and Andrew Alltree-Williams visited the district from July 16 to 18, spending time gathering insights and capturing the essence of the remarkable 150-year journey. They are bringing this amazing story to the nation, and the community will certainly want to tune in to catch a glimpse of our shared history.
In the meantime, we’re able to show some of the still shots Tim Lee captured during their visit. These images give a sneak peek of what viewers might see on the segment, but the incredible story of the Letts family’s decades-long dedication to the paper, will be best viewed on your television screen. Many thanks once again to Tim and Andrew for their geniune interest, dedication, and effort in bringing this story to a broader audience and promoting our proud region.
Mark your calendars! Landline’s “Buloke Times” feature will air this Sunday, August 3, on the ABC channel at 12.30 p.m., and again at 4 p.m.. If those times don’t work for you, you can also catch the segment on ABC iview or visit ABC News webpage to watch an online version at your convenience: http://www.abc.net.au/news/
