At the beginning of Term 3 all Year 7 and 8 Donald High School students were given the opportunity to enter the National Water Week poster competition in Art classes.

The theme around the poster competition this year was “Water Heroes: Every Drop Counts”. Students were asked to create a poster that highlighted saving and conserving water.

The posters were judged on the following criteria:
• Visual impact – eye-catching, bold, and easy to understand from a distance.
• Technical skill – effective and purposeful use of art materials.
• Innovation – demonstrates fresh ideas, modern design approaches, or imaginative concepts.
• Creativity and originality – shows a distinctive personal voice and moves beyond predictable or copied ideas.
• Theme communication – clear and meaningful connection to the theme “Water Heroes: Make Every Drop Count.”

Special mentions go to Victor Sak, Riley Jones, Judd Hawkes, Indi Goldsmith and Charlie Jardine for taking the time to enter their posters.

A huge congratulations also goes to Isabelle Sandy who has won the entire competition, nation-wide, for the Year 7 and 8 category!

Donald High School is incredibly proud of Isabelle and the skilful, creative poster she created for this competition, which you can see pictured here.
