Down the Middle?

Looking back, however, there were some excellent results achieved by Donald’s ladies at the Peter Kelly Memorial Shield of the Kara Kara/Wimmera Challenge on June 22.
It was an honour for Donald to host the event, which was enjoyed in a lovely, friendly atmosphere throughout the day. The catering crew did an outstanding job looking after the 74 competitors, while the hardworking grounds staff presented the course in excellent condition.
Kara Kara came away with the overall win. Division A (0-15): Runner-up was Kerry Raven (Donald) on a countback with 35.4. C-Grade (23+): Runner-up was Kate Clark (Donald) with 33.

Hole in One Prize
The Donald Bakery $1,000 Hole-in-One prize remains unclaimed and will continue to be available on competition days until someone takes it home. The prize will also be on offer when Donald hosts the Kara Kara Women’s Shield and Association and Champion of Champions Day on Thursday, July 9.
Best wishes are extended to Kerry Raven and Kate Clark as they prepare to represent Donald as the club’s A- and B-Grade champions. Members are also hoping the weather will remain dry enough for the day to proceed.
With the local tournament season under way, several Donald representatives competed in Birchip’s 4BBB event. Attention now turns to Berriwillock this weekend, followed by Boort on July 17, 18 and 19.
