Nine-year-old Skye Spencer, niece of champion Australian jockey, Tommy Berry, offers Donald’s Bullock’s Head a drink from the 2020 Melbourne Cup replica. It’s been a long time between drinks for the local icon, but the BOM’s announcement of the onset of La Niña could see it get a drink in the lead up to the running of this year’s Cup. Skye is wearing the racing pants worn by her uncle, and the distinctive green and orange silks of the late Gerard Hogan, who successfully raced a number of horses, including Balholman Queen and Diffusion.
