Donald Fire Brigade’s annual Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal door knock came back bigger and stronger than ever, following last year’s Coronavirus suspension, with Tuesday night’s collection raising a very healthy $4,563.65.
Local appeal co-ordinator, Dale Anderson, reports that this figure is approximately $1,100 up on the 2019 collection, and thanks all those who dug deep for a very worthy cause.

Dale described Tuesday’s collection as a very good start, and with proceeds from the Donald Hotel’s activity on Wednesday evening, plus donations received from raffles on sale in Woods Street on Thursday, Donald’s contribution to the annual appeal in support of the Royal Children’s Hospital, and the many children who receive treatment there, will again be significant.
