Donald Football Club has adapted to the challenges of COVID-19, and will overcome the barrier posed by coronavirus by conducting its annual Goods and Services auction online, starting this Sunday, September 20.
Over the following seven days, until 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 110 lots will be available to discerning buyers, ranging from the Boss Built FX Series Dual Cab Ute Tray, to a piece of Blueroom carpet, for those with a nostalgic link to the club and social gathering area.
Unfortunately, as previously acknowledged, participants won’t be able to have a delicious roast meal cooked by the Donald junior parents this year, but why not cook up a storm and monitor the auction online at home?
The Donald Lakeside Caravan Park, located in Foletti Park, will be one of the major beneficiaries of the auction profits, as the club will aim to raise enough money to complete the restoration and refurbishment of its new four-room accommodation cabin at the park.

The club is also very keen to add other improvements, including further landscaping around the barbecue area, entrance way, and new signage.
Bids can be submitted online from the commencement of the auction at 6 p.m. this Sunday. And to view the list of items and bid once the auction is open, go online and visit: app.galabid.com/donald and click on the item on which you wish to bid (see photograph).
• A catalgue of the 111 items listed for auction can be found on page 7 of today’s “Times”.
Auction items are still being accepted. For more details, or anyone interested in donating, please contact Ryan Leeder 0488 709 707, Lachie Jones 0427 971 006, or Danny Forrest 0400 027 477.
