On Friday, the East Wimmera Health Service advised the community that an unwell patient presented to St. Arnaud Campus on Tuesday evening and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.
The patient is now in isolation. EWHS is currently testing staff who were in contact with the patient, and services at the St Arnaud Campus were interrupted over the weekend as a result.
Having received favourable test results, EWHS has since advised that services at its St. Arnaud Campus were able to resume from Monday morning.
EWHS appreciate the patience and understanding around this event.
Residents of the St. Arnaud district should monitor for symptoms and if symptomatic, please isolate immediately, arrange a test and remain isolated until further notice.
If symptoms are severe or deteriorating – call 000 immediately.
Further information will be made available as it comes to hand.
Drive-Up Testing
EWHS has established a drive-up testing service at the St. Arnaud Campus.
Members of the community who have symptoms, or who have been directed by a hospital representative or Public Health Unit representative, will be able to access testing.
This will be a “drive up and remain in your car” service, no bookings required. Please access the Hospital grounds via the rear entrance located via Long Street and James Street.
Other EWHS sites will continue to offer testing by calling the site to arrange a time: Birchip 5477 7100, Charlton 5477 6800, Donald 5478 6200, St. Arnaud 5477 2100, Wycheproof 5478 0700.
