The winner of the daily event was Harry Christie, 87-24, 63. Will Sheahan was runner up with 96-24, 72.
Nearest the pin on the third was Rod Bennett, the seventh was Neil Slocombe, the eleventh was Steve Clifford and the seventeenth was Harry Christie.
The final round of the championship is on Saturday, and there is a tie at the top of the leaderboard between Owen Reid and A.J. Beacham, so there should be a good tussle .
Wednesday
Eleven golfers took to the course in damp and foggy conditions. The mist hung around for a fair while and the damp grass made hitting hard work. It was overcast all day. This was the first round of the Championships.





Winner of the daily event was Geoff Smith 90-26, 64. Runner-up was Carolyn Reid 95-16, 79.
Winners of the putting were Carolyn Reid and Geoff Smith, both on 27 putts
Best second shot on the third and nearest the pin on the seventh went to Heather Hogan, the eleventh went to Steve Clifford, the seventeenth to Michael Blencowe.
The winner of the first round of the Silver Spoon was Carolyn Reid.
