A Donald man was due to face court, accused of attempting to commit an armed robbery at a supermarket.
About 5.45 p.m. on Monday, December 28, a man entered the Donald IGA on Woods Street, and allegedly produced a knife and demanded cash from a staff member.
However, he left the shop empty-handed.
On Tuesday, detectives from the Swan Hill Crime Investigation Unit raided a Donald address and arrested a 43-year-old man.
He has been charged with attempted armed robbery and will appear at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court.
Police say the matter is still under active investigation and are hoping to speak to anyone who was in the supermarket, the laneway car park or the rear car park between 5.25 p.m. and 5.55 p.m. on the Monday.
These people are urged to contact Senior Constable Sarah Richardson on 5036 1600.
