While On-field Success Avoids Royal Blues... Club Loyalty Runs Deep

For the entire home-and-away senior football season, Donald failed to register a single win, but the scene in the Anderson Blue Room overlooking the Goff Letts Oval on Saturday night would have done credit to any post-grand final assemblage.
More than 120 players and supporters occupied the beautifully decorated long tables, and savoured the superb two-course meal prepared and served by members of the Donald Show committee and their helpers.
During a four-hour presentation evening, the Royal Blues screened in full the votes won by hockey, netball, and football players from the first games on April 5, to the last pre-finals matches on Saturday last.
Daniel’s Double
Not only did playing coach Daniel (Tex) Pearce win Donald’s “best and fairest” award for the 2025 season.
He also won the Tooleybuc Sporting Club President’s Award, which is competed for by all North-Central players.
Football president, Danny Forrest, spoke positively of the players’ determination against the odds, and was convinced that every effort would be made to lift the club’s standing in the months ahead.
Encouraging observations were also made by hockey and netball leaders, as trophies were presented to their respective players.
• More details from Donald’s football, netball, and hockey presentation night will appear in Friday’s “Buloke Times”.
