Putter Day as first event of Charlton’s tournament was played in sensational sunshine, the course was presented magnificently and played well whilst presenting some challenges. 
Winning pair was Mandy Male and Deanne Free, 70 points. Runner-up pair was their playing mates, Lyn Boyle and Heather Hogan, 69 points. Division 1 winner was Julie Mclennan, 35 points. Runner-up was Brenda Proctor 34 points. Division 2 winner was Leonie Boxall, 35 points. Runner-up was Alison Tormey, 33 points on a countback from Chris Livingston. Nearest the pins: 7th, Jan Walklate; 2nd and 14th, Anne Kenny. The lunch of meats and salads followed by apple crumble was a delicious finale to a social golf day.
