17-&-Under “A”
Charlton’s attackers worked hard all game, but unfortunately it just wasn’t their day for shooting, however, even with some positional changes, the girls adapted well, with Stella Nicolson stepping up when in GA. Down the other end the defence worked just as hard, with Anika, Maggie and Erin combining well to create many turnovers. Overall, the Charlton girls worked tirelessly. A huge thank you to Anna Fitzpatrick and Lila Schofield from U14s for coming up to help out with Lila playing her first U17s game!

“C” Grade
This week Charlton’s  goalers had the tough challenge of shooting against some tall defenders, however, with strong and consistent moves from its wings, the shooters kept the ball down our end where possible. Zoe, Annie, Emily and Mia kept their hands over all balls and worked hard to keep players out of the ring. What looked to be a tough game on the scoreboard, the girls kept fighting, running and challenging the game!
Charlton 31 def. by Sea Lake Nandaly 50.
Charlton awards: Vale of Avoca Best, Zoe Carney; JS Plumbing Coaches, Taylah Boyle; Caffeinated Chaos Captains Coffee, Taylah Giles.
Sea Lake-Nandaly awards to Nat Hickey (Mortimer Petroleum Travel Mug) and Teale Mott (Bailey Family Ag Club Mug).
“B” Grade
A tough game for Charlton’s “B” grade girls with Sea Lake getting an early break, which put the pressure on Charlton’s goalers. A couple of long bombs from Tahli landed, but a strong defence from Sea Lake made it very hard for the Charlton girls in the attack end. The Navy Blue defenders, however, did not stop winning plenty of ball back, with Holly leading the charge with some beautiful rebounds. It was a great combination across the court in the last quarter showing some great flow – something the team can work on over the coming weeks.
Charlton 20 def by Sea Lake Nandaly  42.
Charlton awards: Teys Charlton Feedlot Best, Abby Mulquiny; Teys Charlton Feedlot Coaches, Bec Sexton; Caffeinated Chaos Captains Coffee, Anika Holmes-Brown.
Sea Lake-Nandaly awards to Lauren Donnan (C and M Pearce Electical Club Hat) and Milli Seward (Kaniera Hotel Club Mug).
“A” Grade
With Remi missing this week Charlton saw young guns Lacey and Maggie step up in the midcourt, combining well together. Second quarter saw a change in Charlton’s  lineup, with Maggie stepping into GA shooting very well and Claudia hitting the C where she directed play and her feeding into Chloe was beautiful to watch! Down the other end Megan’s long vision and passes down the court from GD were amazing and she still managed to get her hands on plenty of balls creating some great turnovers. Issy and Lacey applied strong pressure on the centre passes. A great game of versatility and development for the juniors. Well done to the whole team for adapting so well with positional changes.
Charlton 27 def. by Sea Lake-Nandaly  48.
