Quick Fix for Pipe Problem

A burst water main caused a stir in Donald early Thursday morning, with GWM Water crews responding swiftly to repair the damage.

GWM’s Andrew Bayles was first on the scene around 5:30 a.m., soon joined by James McKenny and Luke Ezard. The team promptly excavated a section of the road, on Woods Street, to access the broken pipe.

Repairs were estimated to be completed by lunchtime, with the site expected to be filled and cleaned up by around 3 p.m..

The early-morning incident left some residents without water during their usual morning routines, catching many off guard, during their daily preparations.
