
Pictured left to right, ensuring the Advent Wreath and Nativity Scene were set-up accordingly ahead of Christmas, are parishioners Carmel Hogan, Judy Noonan and Sheila Powell. Joan Smith was also active behind the scenes preparing the surrounds for the upcoming congregations. The Advent wreath is a circular garland of evergreen plant. Each candle on the wreath represents an aspect of the spiritual preparation for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ at Christmas. The Nativity Scene will be on display and awaiting the arrival of baby Jesus on Christmas Day. The unique wooden figurine display was proudly made by talented former students of St. Michael’s School Wycheproof, many, many years ago and is a unique highlight of the history relative to the former school and community.
